BRAD HOWE PROJECT - UNDERWAY
Studio Romo sought the assistance of Grant Irish Studio to fabricate two large scale stainless steel pieces by sculptor Brad Howe
whose commissioned work, Demand and Desire, will be installed at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. The first piece is ready for finishing.
TOWER LOFTS PROJECT - INSTALLED
Grant was commissioned to design and fabricate a sculptural element to replace a deteriorating 15 x 15 foot redwood water tank perched high on a platform at the Tower Lofts in Jack London Square. The challenge he received from the Homeowner's Association was that the piece harken back to the water tank which had come to identify their building, while allowing for easy installation and satisfying the City's requirements within the allocated funds.
BRIAN WALL STUDIO
Since 2007 Grant has had the privilege of acting as primary studio assistant to sculptor Brian Wall.
Brian Wall: Squaring the Circle is on exhibit at the de Saisset Museum from April 10 to June 14, 2015.
